Two-time winner So You Think, now one of the world’s top-ranked racehorses, is expected to line up in an attempt to win his third successive Cox Plate this spring.
The five-year-old heads the list of entries for the weight-for-age classic and is one of 13 overseas entries for the $3 million race.
Other foreign entries include last year’s Melbourne Cup winner Americain, three from England and two from Germany.
So You Think’s trainer Aidan O’Brien has also entered Cape Blanco who last month took out the Man O’War Stakes in New York.
Entries for the Caulfield Cup, which also closed on Tuesday, included a runner owned by the Queen.
The Queen’s stayer Tactician is one of 22 international entries for the feature.
Entries for the $6 million Melbourne Cup close on September 1.
